Guildford's Premier Tennis Club
Pit Farm Tennis Club was established in 1897. Today we have over 400 members in all categories, enjoying our six Astroturf courts. With three of our courts being flood lit, we offer year-round tennis on all-weather surfaces. Pit Farm offers senior members a range of organised tennis sessions, including club play on Saturday and Sunday afternoons as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Junior tennis is well supported by many after school sessions during the week and squads on Saturday mornings.. On Monday and Friday (between 11 and 1 pm), we offer open sessions for all, run by our coach - Voytek Sarama. All told we are proud to be a part of a club with a fantastic heritage, with a friendly and inclusive membership and with a high standard of tennis throughout all categories of membership. Wimbledon Club Win for Pit Farm Junior The U16s Boys Singles trophy for the Keith Prowse Tournament , held at Wimbledon Club during half term, was won by Alex McWilliam (15). Alex won the final 6-4, 6-3 and was watched by LTA Chief Executive Roger Draper. Alex says he is looking forward to playing more matches throughout the summer. |
British Tennis Membership and Wimbledon Ticket Allocation From now on, our Wimbledon Ticket allocation will be affected by how many British Tennis members we have in the club as at November 30th 2008. British Tennis membership is free for a minimum of the next 3 years so please apply on-line at www.lta.org.uk/British-Tennis-Membership/. By joining up, you will be helping us to maximize the number of Wimbledon Tickets we are allocated for our ballot.
