Pit Farm Tennis Club operates
an extensive and varied junior section.

Junior
membership is for boys and girls of 8 years and above. We
have an active and
organised
junior programme for all standards of play, which is so popular that currently
there is a waiting list for junior membership.
Between
mid-April and the end of September - excluding August and one week in July when
the club holds the annual open junior tournament - juniors from 8 to 16 have
their own dedicated club sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. For these
group-coaching sessions, which are organized by the club coach, Voytek Sarama,
they have use of all 6 courts from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Voytek and his team of
‘tennis assistants’ provide coaching for juniors attending these sessions,
at no extra charge.
We
also have 3 junior development squads for better players on Saturday mornings
between 9.00am and 1.30pm. These ‘tournament-level’ juniors receive more
game-based, tactics and strategy coaching from Voytek, but there is a quarterly
squad fee charged which is currently £39.
Squad
players have access to singles and doubles competition in intra-club box leagues
and tournaments, such as the annual club junior tournament and the ‘Road to
Wimbledon’, as well as county competitions like the
Surrey
summer and winter postal tournaments.
